Aester & Pearl is a bespoke small-batch made-to-order jewellery studio based in Brisbane Queensland, Australia and is solely operated by owner and artist, Chantel:

“When I started this venture, I set out with the desire to create jewellery that truly celebrates one’s feminine energy and inner ethereal elegance. I combined my skills in CAD, art and design to craft truly unique jewellery designs inspired by the organic and feminine forms found in various art disciplines. On this journey, I hope to help people embrace their divine femininity and allow them to feel beautiful in their own skin…

“The brand name ‘Aester & Pearl’ has a layered meaning. I really love the meaning behind the name ‘Ester’, which translates to ‘star’ or ‘secret’ in some cultural origins. As an artist and designer, I have a keen eye for aesthetics. Naturally, ‘Aester’ is a combination of these two words and concepts. Pearl on the other hand symbolises rarity, natural beauty and feminine energy. Pearls are also my favourite type of gemstone. I joined these two names to create ‘Aester & Pearl’ and I find that it perfectly encapsulates what I am trying to create.” — Chantel xx

All of our products are made with either or a combination of genuine 14K gold filled and 18K gold plated findings.

Aester & Pearl products feature unique polymer clay beads that are meticulously and exquisitely designed by Chantel. Aester & Pearl designs are truly unique - we guarantee that you won’t find anything similar elsewhere.

Chantel also uses genuine natural freshwater pearls and crystals in her designs. Note that genuine freshwater pearls and crystals come in all sorts of organic shapes and sizes and will often have natural blemishes. The beauty of Aester & Pearl jewellery is that each piece is truly one of a kind. No two Aester & Pearl beads, natural pearls nor crystals are perfectly identical - they are perfectly imperfect like all of the beautiful wonders bestowed to us by Mother Nature.

As all Aester & Pearl products are bespoke handmade goods, it isn’t unusual for some small imperfections or inconsistencies (within the range that is considered normal for a bespoke handmade item) to occur. These may include very tiny bubbles, a hint of the artist’s fingerprint, slight variations in colour from what you see on screen, minimal variances in earring drop length, or other small “beauty marks” that do not affect an item’s functionality or aesthetic charm.

Chantel thoroughly explores various creative avenues when she is designing Aester & Pearl products. This involves sourcing inspiration from her subjects of passion - art, architecture, design and Mother Nature. This is followed by a series of idea sketches and material and colour palette explorations which are used to inform Chantel’s custom moulds which she creates using CAD.
